Canasia Power Corp. is a Canadian power development company that specializes in developing major power projects and related electrical infrastructure, in energy deficient economies.
Canasia wins and develops its own power projects, and offers the following core services to governments and the private sector:
1. Development of large power generation plants, from preliminary project identification, feasibility studies, permitting, contract negotiations and clearances, fuel arrangements, project finance, to construction and commissioning;
2. Development of related electrical infrastructure facilities;
3. Rebuilding and refurbishment of existing electrical infrastructure;
4. Development of renewable energy projects, in particular solar energy; and
5. Energy consulting services.
Company History
Canasia was established in 1994 to pursue the opportunities in international power development. Through its affiliate it conceptulized, initiated and developed the following projects in Canada:
1. 126MW natural gas combined cycle power project*
2. 350MW natural gas combined cycle power project**

Previously the Company won the following international mandates:
1. 100MW coal power project in Hungary
2. 660MW natural gas power project in Iran
3. 840MW oil based power project in Pakistan
4. 800MW coal power project in India.
The Company exclusively focused on India and is currently developing a pipeline of 4,650MW of both conventional and renewable (solar) energy projects in the sub-continent.
